Obituary

Martin L. Zwiesler, 81, passed away on December 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on June 11, 1944, Martin lived a full and vibrant life defined by deep devotion to his family, boundless friendships, and an unmistakable joy for living.

For 55 years, Martin was the beloved husband of Lynn. Their marriage was the foundation of his life and a true partnership built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they raised a family that was Martin's greatest pride and accomplishment.

He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Leo M. Zwiesler and the late Angela Redman Zwiesler.
He was a loving and dedicated father to Julie (Michael Vollick) Zwiesler-Vollick, Jeffrey (Shannon) Zwiesler, and Jessica (Marc) Rutherford. Martin was a proud grandfather to Zachary and Nicholas Vollick, and Madison and Connor Wright, delighting in their accomplishments and time spent together. He was the dear brother of Susan (the late Louis) Schulker and the late Jerome Zwiesler, and a caring brother-in-law to Ann Zwiesler.

Martin graduated from the University of Dayton and the University of Michigan and went on to a distinguished career as a chemist and pharmacist. He fulfilled a lifelong dream by owning his own pharmacy, a place where he not only served customers but built lasting relationships. Martin never met a stranger—he made friends everywhere he went, leaving people smiling and feeling valued after even the briefest conversation.

Larger than life, Martin embraced every moment. He was an avid golfer and swimmer, loved square dancing, and thoroughly enjoyed traveling. Whether on the golf course, in the pool, or on the dance floor, Martin brought enthusiasm, laughter, and warmth wherever he was.

Above all, Martin was deeply proud of his children and the lives they built. He was a steady presence—someone you could always count on for encouragement, wisdom, or a helping hand. Known for his loyalty, kindness, and quiet strength, Martin's impact will be felt for generations.
