Mark Gregory Conen, age 65, of South Lyon, Michigan passed away on March 2nd, 2023 surrounded by his wife and children.
Mark was born on March 11, 1957 to Joseph and Ellen Conen and shared joy in his childhood with his dear siblings Joe (Mary Pat) Conen and Loretta (Eric Speth) Conen.
Mark was a proud Hillsdale alumni and Phi Sig fraternity brother. After college, he dedicated his career to Comerica bank, where he worked for 38 years.
Mark married his most dedicated friend, partner, and confidant, Barbara in 1985. Together, Mark and Barb raised three daughters Erin (Andrew), Kelly (TJ), and Megan. A true family man, Mark provided commitment, adventure, and unwavering love to his wife and daughters. His love expanded when his first grandchild, Evelyn came into the world.
Mark cherished his friendships, and was determined to always help those he could, offer advice, have a good laugh, and share a martini. He loved touring the country in his RV with Barb and their friends. When he wasn't enjoying time in the RV, Mark was spending summers at their cottage in Caseville. His happy place was on the beach with his family at the cottage playing cornhole and watching the sunset. He enjoyed taking the family on boat rides, tubing, and jet ski rides. He loved to see his family having fun, including his nieces and nephews. Mark was a proud uncle to 30 nieces and nephews, and was a great-uncle to 10 great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Ellen Conen (Higbee), father Joseph Conen, father in law Ambrose Hagan, and his beloved dogs Roxi and Shadow.
Marks life will be honored and celebrated at a visitation on Sunday, March 5th, from 2pm-8pm at O'Brien Sulliven Funeral Home (41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi Michigan). On Monday March 6th there will be a visitation at 10:30am followed by an 11am funeral mass at St Joseph Catholic Church (830 S. Lafayette Street, South Lyon, Michigan).
