Marjorie Mary Patek, age 89, passed away on May 3, 2020 after a brief illness. Beloved wife of Robert for 65 years and loving mother of Barbara (Al Burchi), the late Robert (Linda), John (Carol), Paul (Suanne), and Mary Suzanne (Jim Baldwin). Marge cherished her 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Clare (Sean), Joe, Mike (Mackenzie), Laura (Bo), Tommy, Johnny (Kailey), Megan, Paul (Kara), Julianne (Anthony), Julia and Ana, and her 5 great grandchildren, Lyla, Hailey, Eleanor, Ruby and Robert Bennett. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Norbert, John and Robert Oldani. She also leaves dear sisters-in-law, Marilyn Asensio Oldani and Nancy Patek, as well as 30 beloved nieces and nephews. Marge's faith was central to her life. She served as a Catholic school teacher for 27 years at several parishes including St. Fabian in Farmington Hills, Our Lady of Refuge in Orchard Lake and St. Regis in Birmingham. While in good health, Marge faithfully attended daily Mass. Her exemplary life will be honored with a Memorial Mass (also livestreamed) at 11:00am on Friday, June 25, 2021 with visitation at 10:00am at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 10 Mile Road, Novi, 48374. Friends and family who attend in person are kindly requested to follow COVID protocols for the venue which requires unvaccinated individuals to wear masks and practice social distancing. Fully vaccinated individuals may wear masks and socially distance but are no longer required to do so.
