Beloved wife of the late Walter R. Grover
Loving mother of Lynn Aytes and the late Dennis Grover.
Cherished grandmother of Rebecca Basch, Katie (Todd) Roy, Gregory (Jennifer) Aytes, and Eric (Rachel) Aytes.
Great grandmother of Ally Basch, Caden Basch, Ella Roy, Marcus Roy Riley Aytes, Wesley Aytes and Sophie Aytes.
Dear Daughter of the late Edwin and Flavia Reed.
Sweet sister of the late Virginia Stahlman.

Marilyn was born in Jamestown New York in 1926 She moved to Michigan in her senior year of high school with her mom and dad Flavia and Ed Reed. Her dad chose to move to Michigan seeking better job opportunities. He found a job on a Railroad in Detroit. He then worked at Detroit Diesel Allison for many years. It was there that Marilyn met her future husband Walter Grover when he came into the office where she was working and as history has it, they were married in 1946 Marilyn and Walter resided in Redford Twp until 1984 when they both retired to the Tampa Florida area.

Marilyn loved her family she really enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandkids. She was an excellent cook and when she married Walter, she learned from his family how to make good Polish food. Marilyn became head secretary to the top engineer at General Motors. When she did retire, she was a volunteer. She spent time volunteering at local hospitals and at The Good Shepard Lutheran Church. When she wasn't volunteering, she was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. Marilyn will be missed by her family and friends.

A visitation and funeral service will take place for Marilyn on Tuesday March 7th, 2023 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave. Novi, MI 48375, with visitation starting at 11am until time of service at 11:30am.
Marilyn will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Cemetery located in Livonia Michigan.
Following the services there will be a luncheon at Tin Cup, 20500 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48152,
