Marguerite (Peg) Wright (nee Honstain), age 90, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 in Novi, joining her husband Duane in eternal life.

Peg is survived by her children Daniel (Shelley), David (Daniela), Gary (Maureen) and Jill Lau (Sam) as well as grandchildren Callie Goldblatt (Jess); Jackson and Benjamin (mother Allison); Caroline, Adam (Dani) and Andrew; Nicholas and Alexandra; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Detroit, Peg attended St. Mary's of Redford and received her Bachelor's Degree from Marygrove College. Later, she achieved her Master's Degree in Library Science from Wayne State. An educator for most of her working life, she taught elementary school in Detroit and later was a media specialist in the Eastpointe School District.

Peg was an avid reader and encouraged all of her children and grandchildren to treasure books. She loved the Christmas holiday and displayed her collection of Santas year round.

A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church in Novi, Michigan on September 30 at 10:30 AM. Guests can arrive at 10:00 AM. To view a livestream of the Mass, click here when Mass begins at 10:30 am. She will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI in a ceremony at 12:30 PM that afternoon. Finally, a Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM the same afternoon at Big Tommy's Parthenon, 40380 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation can be made in her name.
