On Thursday, May 10, Margaret Ann Sidor began the next phase of her journey with God. Born Margaret Ann Larsen on January 5, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the middle of three children born to Alfred and Ellen (McIlhargey) Larsen. She was a devout Catholic who was very proud of her Irish roots and her fun-filled family.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, you name it and that was Margaret. She wasn't "Marge", nor "ma", nor "Peggy", nor "Hey man", nor "Hey you", just "mom" or "honey" or "Margaret" or "Aunt Maggie" to those who knew her well. A woman with a big spirit and a big love of life, who was kind-hearted and loving with a sense of humor (which you had to have raising the brood that she did).
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Henry; her five children and their spouses, Chuck (Connie), Rick (Phyllis), Lori Ann, Mary Jo (Steve) and Kathleen (David); a son-in-law and his spouse, Bob (Mary); 16 grandchildren and their spouses – yes, I'm naming them all – Jeffrey (Christine), Victoria (Dan), Krystina (Jesse), Rebecca, Katrina (Adam), Paul, Kerri (Mark), Caitlyn (Dave), Melissa, Zachary, Ashley, Jackleen (Matthew), Kendyl (Matt), Andrew, Elizabeth and Caroline; and nine great grandchildren – yes, naming all of them, too – Payton, Breanna, Jacob, Ariel, Isabel, Madelyn, Sebastian, London and Hadwin plus two "coming soon".
She was predeceased in death by two daughters, Kathrine and Diane; and one grandson, Ryan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5:00 – 9:00pm at O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00pm. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church 24505 Meadowbrook Rd, Novi, Michigan.
