She is also survived by her brother Edmond Wilson; nieces and nephews Jane Minishi, Edward Wilson, Geraldine Winiarski, Stephen Pachosa, Randy Pachosa, and Judy Pachosa; and 5 great grandchildren, Morgan, Maci, Miley, David and Luke.
Ginger, a registered nurse, proudly served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps working in the operating room. While raising a family and embracing the role of Army wife, she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees. When the Army brought the family to Michigan, Ginger joined Lansing's Sparrow Hospital in perinatal health care and later managed the hospital's infection control surveillance program. For many years after retirement, she participated in continuing education to maintain her RN license. While still in Lansing, she joined a retired nurses group, then continued that camaraderie with retired nurses at Fox Run Senior Living in Novi.
Ginger felt blessed by the Lord, especially when surrounded by family and friends at the dinner table. Her face beamed when watching the children in her life and engaging with them in conversation. She encouraged others to pursue their dreams and passions with vigor and enjoyed hearing updates. Those who knew Ginger will remember her welcoming extended arms, her smile, and her warm hello with a compliment. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held on October 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Fox Run Senior Living Community, 41340 W 13 Mile Road in the Derby Room at the Belmont Clubhouse. A Celebration of Ginger's life will be on October 13 at 2:00 PM in the Derby Room.
