Obituary

Lyndon "Lyndy" Lewis, born February 19, 1959, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2024, at the age of 65. Lyndy was a man who always put his family first, a loving husband, and a devoted father. His greatest honor in life was being a dad, and he took immense pride in his children. Lyndy shared a beautiful 34-year marriage with his beloved wife, Anne.

Lyndy was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Freda, as well as his brother, Larry. He is survived by his wife Anne, his children Matthew (Sarah) and Kelly, his sister Lorraine (Robert), and many dear friends and neighbors.

For 38 years, Lyndy worked in education, dedicating his career to shaping young minds first as a teacher and later as an Administrator. He was widely respected not only for his academic guidance but for his life lessons, which he passionately shared with students. Lyndy continued to serve his community following retirement, working for the HVA PACE Program.

Lyndy was known for his calm and quiet demeanor, steady presence, his strong listening skills, and his willingness to help anyone in need. Whether it was offering advice, lending a hand with a project, or simply being a good neighbor, Lyndy was the person everyone could rely on. He had no enemies, only friends, and was the kind of man who would literally give the shirt off his back.

Outside of work, Lyndy enjoyed living life to the fullest alongside his family. He loved spending time up north, tailgating at Michigan State, live music, and relaxing with his family dogs. His faith was a major cornerstone of his life, influencing many of his actions and decisions. As a handyman, Lyndy was the neighborhood go-to guy, able to tackle just about any project, always with a smile and a willingness to help.

Lyndy was a wonderful person—strong, generous, kind, and constant in the lives of those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
