In Loving Memory of Louise Lillian Holbel
Louise Lillian Holbel, nee Villaire LaPointe was born on December 30, 1938, and peacefully passed away in her home on November 21, 2023. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and selflessness.
Louise was a medical assistant at Heart Cardiology for many years. After retirement she dedicated her free time to volunteer work at Providence Hospital, Novi.
A family woman at heart, she found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, creating countless cherished memories that will be held close to the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Louise enjoyed the arts, finding joy in theater, music, and musicals. She was an avid reader and found solace in the art of crocheting and knitting.
Her circle of friends was vast, but she held a few close lifelong friendships that enriched her life. These bonds were a testament to her loyalty, kindness, and the lasting impact she had on those fortunate enough to call her friend.
Louise is predeceased by former husbands Ray Villaire and Paul Holbel and she is survived by her very dear friend Robert Littlemeyer.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Debbie) Villaire, David (Dawn) Villaire, Catherine (David) Abbott: grandchildren Danielle (Joshua) Felker, Marc (Lauren) Villaire, Brian (Amanda) Villaire, Bethany Patterson, Michael Abbott and Emma Abbott; great grandchildren Cameron, Bella and Brynlee. She is predeceased by her parents George and Annette LaPointe and her brothers Donald LaPointe and Richard LaPointe. She is survived by her brother Robert LaPointe, along with many friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Louise's life will be held at St. Kenneth Catholic Church in Plymouth, MI, on December 1, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Louise's honor to Angela Hospice Livonia, MI.
