Kuznicki, Lottie Marcella (Bilinski), May 1, 2023, Age 95, of Williamsburg, MI and Fort Myers, FL. Beloved wife of the late Alphonse for over 75 ½ years. Lottie was born October 6th, 1927 in Detroit, MI to Kazimierz "Charles" and Wiktorya "Victoria" Bilinski, the sixth of seven children. Loving mother of David (Jill) and the late Lawrence (Barbara) Kuznicki. Dear grandmother of Alan (Jacqueline) and Jon. Great-grandmother to Natalie, Isaac, and Jillian.
Lottie graduated from Chadsey High School in Detroit in 1946. Throughout her senior year, she became friendly with her classmate Al, bonding over the experience of losing both of their mothers at a young age. Al finally worked up the courage to ask Lottie to his birthday party, which he walked her the mile home from. I guess you could say the rest is history. Al went off to the war and constantly wrote letters to Lottie, which her sister Jean hid to make her think Al had forgotten all about her. However, when Al returned, he ran right into Lottie's open arms and they have been inseparable ever since marrying in 1947. The Kuznickis had always been dedicated servants of God, active at Polish National and Roman Catholic churches over the years, including Sacred Heart (Dearborn), St. Columbkille (Ft. Myers, FL), St. James (Novi), and Christ the King (Williamsburg).
Al and Lottie made the move to Dearborn in 1950, setting roots to raise their family. Lottie worked as a server at the Westerner restaurant across the street from their house so that she could be close to the kids. Later, she moved into electronics manufacturing at Burroughs Corporation in Plymouth, building components for RCA. It was during this time that after years of always fixing up used cars for Lottie, Al finally ordered her beloved brand new 1965 Mustang in Honey Gold, her first ever brand new car. To live the Dearborn dream, Lottie followed in Al's footsteps and moved on to work at Ford Motor Company in the Sci Lab. Over the next twenty or so years, she and Al both worked for and retired from Ford, remaining loyal to the brand ever since. Lottie also sold real estate part time for Real Estate One's Dearborn office later in her career.
Lottie and Al also enjoyed traveling throughout their work and retirement years, visiting many destinations in the US and Europe. Sharing their Polish heritage, they both enjoyed visiting Poland the most. Throughout their golden years, Al and Lottie enjoyed spending the majority of their time in Florida. What started off as a vacation getaway dream in Boca Raton finished with them building their dream retirement home in Fort Myers, which allowed Lottie to enjoy multiple golf leagues in their golf community and to be close to Al's sister Jean. Outside of Florida, Al and Lottie have enjoyed splitting their time back in Michigan to be closer to family, although Lottie always loved spending summers in Florida with less traffic, hot weather, and easy access to watch the sunset on Fort Myers Beach.
