Lorraine Eleanor (Weber) Douglas, 87, peacefully passed away at home on January 25, 2015. Lorraine was born on November 1, 1927 in Ambridge, PA, the eldest daughter of Thelma (Budd) and Reginald Weber. Lorraine moved to Michigan with her family as a young girl. As an adult, she worked in the retail clothing industry, helping generations of women look their best. Lorraine and her husband Don traveled extensively, exploring England, Alaska, Hawaii, and many far-flung ports of call from the decks of cruise ships. One could always find Lorraine exercising because dining out was one of her great passions. And Lorraine loved to shop, exemplifying style and fashion. She had a joyful laugh, ate dessert first, loved animals and wholeheartedly embraced every happiness life offers. Her ever-positive outlook will be missed by all who enjoyed her good company. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 31 years, Don Douglas; sons Mark Pope of Napa, CA and Brian (Jani) Pope of Livonia; stepsons Jim (Martha) Douglas of Grand Blanc and Don Douglas of Harper Woods; son-in-law Charles Spicer of Birmingham; brother Jim (Jeri) Weber of Ormond Beach, FL; grandsons Doug (Dena) Borchardt, Matthew (Jennifer) Borchardt, Alex Pope and Kevin Douglas; granddaughters Alivia Pope and Madison Douglas; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, Alexander Pope, daughter, Barbara Spicer and stepdaughter, Cheryl Ariganello. A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi 248-348-1800 Tuesday 10:00 am until the time of the funeral 11:00 am.
