Lois A. Ryan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born August 9, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Elizabeth and James Fletcher.

Lois dedicated her life to education, nurturing young minds as a devoted teacher. Her passion for learning extended beyond the classroom; she was an avid reader and found joy in the world of books. Her love for music was evident in her exceptional talent for playing the organ. As an enthusiastic traveler, Lois had a special fondness for exploring the world, especially by cruise ship, visiting countless destinations and creating lasting memories. Her sense of adventure was matched by her delight in simpler pleasures, such as line-dancing, which she enjoyed with friends and family.

The holidays held a special place in Lois's heart. She reveled in the joy of family gatherings, and her home was always open to guests. She took great pride in entertaining at her cottage on the water, where she and her late husband created a haven of hospitality and love.

Lois's life was a testament to her vibrant spirit and her unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, joy, and passion for life will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Lois is survived by her children, Robert Ryan and Linda (Dave) Kelm. She is the beloved grandma to Jeremy, Laura, Justin, and Thomas (Amy). Also surviving is her great granddaughter, Evie Rose.
Lois is predeceased by her husband, John, her parents, Elizabeth and James, and her brothers, Arthur and Ted Fletcher.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23rd from 12pm to 1pm at Kenwood Church of Christ, 20200 Merriman Rd., Livonia, MI 48152. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm, followed by a procession to Lois's final resting place at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia.
