Obituary

Lisa Ann (Adonelfi) Belsky, passed away on January 30, 2024 at age 56 at Angela Hospice in Livonia, MI, after a seven month struggle with a rare and aggressive cancer - peritoneal mesothelioma.

Born in Brooklyn on September 12, 1967 to a proud Italian family. Lisa grew up in Merrick (Long Island), NY, and has resided in South Lyon, MI since 2013 with her husband and two adult children.

She obtained a BA in Business, which landed her a few retail management positions before realizing her true calling as a caregiver, when she took the initiative to complete her nursing degree in 1995, and worked in several hospitals as a registered nurse. She also devoted several years to raising her children before settling into her current position as a Health Advisor throughout her astounding 18-year career at PinnacleCare, a private health advisory.

Lisa has been married to her loving husband and best friend, Eric Belsky for 25+ years. Together, they raised two amazing children, Sam Belsky (age 23) and Sara Belsky (age 21). Lisa was a devoted wife and mother, and so very proud of the outstanding young adults Sam and Sara have become.

Lisa loved to travel, and has done so, far and wide throughout the decades - starting out with teen tours, multiple cruises to various Caribbean islands, and later, family trips to Portugal, Spain, Italy, England, France, The Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Guatemala. She became an avid foodie and also developed a love of craft cocktails. She was funny, spunky, a great dancer, and a huge New York Islander, hockey fan.

Lisa's life experiences and evolution throughout the years transformed her from a shy and quiet child, to a strong, confident, loving and compassionate woman. While her gentle, empathetic nature shined through all of her endeavors, this li'l lady was a force to be reckoned with. She was a fierce advocate for the ones she loved, including family, friends, and the many members she served through her long standing career as a Health Advisor. If Lisa was on your team, you were all the better for it. If she was on the other team, you could expect to have your butt handed to you if she deemed it necessary. All of her endeavours were taken care of with meticulous detail, as she consistently strived for the highest level of success.

The world has lost a beautiful, old soul; a kind and compassionate human; and a fierce warrior. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends, but her spirit and memory remain within the hearts of all those she's touched along her unique and purposeful journey.
