Lionel, "Lee" Caron, Age 97 formerly of Northville, MI passed away peacefully in Naples, FL on December 30, 2020.
Loving Father of Theresa Alonzi (Tim) and the late Valerie, Gerard, and Daryl Caron. Proud Grandfather of Amanda and Nicholas Alonzi. Dear Brother of the late Aline Munck (Caron), Henry and Louie Caron, and Alice Farwell (Caron). Cherished Son of the late Achille and Laudia Caron.
Lee was born in Montreal Canada and immigrated to the USA, becoming a US citizen. He served in the US Army during WWII. He attended and graduated from University of Detroit High School in 1942 (Valedictorian) and University of Detroit Dental School in 1951. He married Shirley Harris on September 14, 1946. He practiced dentistry for 47 years and passionately cared for his patients, retiring at the age of 75.
Lionel was an avid golfer, fisherman, bird hunter, gardener, and steadfast sports fan, especially of all the Detroit teams. He adored his grandchildren and above all else loved to spend time with his family. Lee's strong faith in God, his savior, is credited to his selfless acts of generosity, honesty, and service to others. He always cared about others before himself. He served as a lector, usher, EME, and on the parish council at his church. His positive attitude touched everyone he encountered.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 am Wednesday, January 20, 2021 @ St James Catholic Church in Novi, MI. 46325 10 Mile Rd. Novi with visitation 9:30 til time of service. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy to www.obriensullivanfuneralhome.com .
