Leona Ray (Bowman) Linderman, born January 10, 1917, went to be with her Lord on January 29, 2018, at 101 years of age.
Leona was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Henry Linderman senior, in 1984. She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Rev. Henry and Karen Linderman who are missionaries pastoring in Paris, France, and Rev. Richard and Rosemary Linderman of Princeton, New Jersey; 5 grandchildren: Renée, Stephanie, Sarah, Richard and Travis; and 6 great grandchildren: Chrystelle, Ethan, Matthew, Nicolas, Sloane and Calista.
Of 13 brothers and sisters, she is survived only by her brother Zay Bowman of Morehead, Kentucky.
A devout Christian, she loved people, taught Sunday school for many years at the Brightmoor (Tabernacle) Christian Church, where her husband was a deacon and board member. She loved praying for the sick and for anyone who wanted to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Linderman lived 14 years in Morehead, Kentucky, 15 years in Highland Park, Michigan, 25 years in Redford Township, Michigan, 31 years in Vero Beach, Florida, and 16 years in Princeton, New Jersey, where her son Rev. Richard Linderman was pastor of Nassau Christian Center (of the Assemblies of God), 26 Nassau Street.
Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m., with the memorial service held from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Nassau Christian Center, 26 Nassau Street, Princeton NJ, under the direction of Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals (Perth Amboy, NJ). Rev. Henry Linderman will be speaking.
A second funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Rev. M. Wayne Benson will be speaking. Interment will follow at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, MI.
