Leo L. Okonkowski, passed on Saturday, June 25, 2022 in West Bloomfield at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Grace Okonkowski for 55 years. Loving father of Bonnie (Dr. Eric) Szilagy, Pete (Bernadette) Okonkowski, and the late Amy Pendracki. Dear grandfather of Erica (Bryan) Bledsoe, Nick (Rebecca) Szilagy, Ben Szilagy, Stephanie (Alex) Armiak, Dr. Linda (George) Maher, Sarah Pendracki, Drew (Jocelyn) Pendracki, and great grandfather of Ashley, Joshua, Jacob, and Henry. Leo worked 20 plus years for the IRS. Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800 on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Instate Thursday, June 30, 2022 St. James Catholic Church, 46325 West 10 Mile Road, Novi form 10:00 AM until time of funeral liturgy 10:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the Boys Town National Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project .
Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date.
