Lawrence A. Sinelli, a beloved member of his community and a cherished family man, peacefully passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 95. He leaves behind a legacy of love and caring that will be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Lawrence, affectionately known as Larry, was born on December 2, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles and Teresa (Bonamino) Sinelli. Throughout his remarkable journey, Larry's enduring love and commitment to family brightened and strengthened the lives of those closest to him. Larry found great joy in the company of his beloved wife, Dorothy (Gillim) Caldwell Sinelli, with whom he shared 27 beautiful years. Preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy (Blasco) Sinelli, and his brother Joseph Sinelli. A devoted father, Larry leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Lorrie Sinelli, Kathy (Nathan) Eriksen, Brian (Sandy) Caldwell, the late Bruce Caldwell (Gretchen), the late Karen Sinelli, and the late Kathleen Caldwell. He valued time spent with his family most of all, and left behind precious memories that will be treasured for generations. Larry was a proud grandfather to Jason (Kristy) Solomon, Jennifer (Chris) Miner, Aaron (Hannah) Caldwell, Adam (Amber) Caldwell, Reid (Monica) Eriksen, Cristian Eriksen, Hailey Eriksen, Erik (Jaclyn) Caldwell, Max (Stephanie) Caldwell, and Kyle Caldwell. Additionally, he was blessed to be a great-grandfather to 13 precious souls. Beyond his family, Larry enriched the lives of friends and associates across the Detroit Metro area. As a dedicated businessman, he founded and operated Charles Sinelli and Sons Concrete Company and was a partner in Spartan Concrete and Brighton Block and Concrete. Larry had a love for art and was an accomplished amateur painter and sculptor. Larry served as a volunteer at Providence Hospital in the Assarian Healing Arts Center for 25 years, offering support and comfort to many. He was an avid sportsman his entire life. Mr. Sinelli was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours from 3-7 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home, located at 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375. A funeral service will be held on Friday April 5, 2024, at 10:00 am at Brightmoor Christian Church, 40800 W. 13 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48377. Military Honors will take place at church. Larry's final resting place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Larry's honor to American Heart Association
