In Loving Memory of Kyle James Kauppi
- Age 41

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kyle James Kauppi on December 13, 2023, at the age of 41. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of passion, kindness, and a love for life.

Kyle was the beloved son of Dana Woods and David Charles Kauppi, and stepson of Brent LaVallee and Chris (Cathy) Siminski. He was a loving brother to Mark Siminski. Stepbrother of Spenser (Jocelyn) LaVallee, J.P. (Jamie) LaVallee. Step niece and nephew, Wyatt and Emmy. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice and Ray Woods, and Ruth Ann and Charles Kauppi. He also joins his uncles, Mike Kauppi and Mark Woods, in eternal rest.

In his younger years, Kyle found joy in various activities, including baseball, football, riding his bike, and spending time outdoors. His mechanical aptitude was evident as he took pride in building a 1983 Capri from the ground up. Kyle also had a passion for RC cars and participated in Road Rallys, with a particular fondness for "Press on Regardless."

Nature held a special place in Kyle's heart, and he often enjoyed camping in the picturesque upper peninsula of Michigan. His love for animals, especially the family's two K9 companions, brought him immense happiness.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 2 to 7 pm at the O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Alexander Haines of the First Presbyterian Church of Howell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or Alcoholics Anonymous . reflecting commitment to mental health and recovery.

Kyle will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the lasting impact he had on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, and may his spirit live on in the cherished memories of family and friends.
