Obituary for Kirk Anthony Rydzik
July 2, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kirk Anthony Rydzik, who departed this life on July 2, 2025. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend whose warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
Kirk was the devoted father of Nick, Elizabeth, and Jimmy, whom he loved fiercely and supported unconditionally. Everything he did in this life was for them.
Kirk was married to Lynn for 19 years and were co-parents and good friends for the past 5. He was the cherished son of Helen (DaMour) and the late Casimer Rydzik, and the loving brother of Keith (Erin). He was a proud Godfather to Kara, Kyle, Kamryn and Katie Murray, as well as Lorenzo Bucciarelli and Kiera Rydzik. He was a wonderful and loving grandson to the late Michael Rydzik, who was endearingly referred to as Dziadzia.
Kirk proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected the core of his character—loyal, selfless, and devoted to something greater than himself.
Kirk was an outstanding cook, had an incredible work ethic and had the rare ability to connect with anyone, always ready with a story, a joke, or a helping hand. Nobody was ever a stranger.
He loved coaching his kids' sports teams, playing a round of golf, and spending time with the best group of friends anyone could ask for. His legacy of love, generosity, and dedication will live on in all who were lucky enough to know him.
Visitation will take place on Sunday at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi, from 2–6 PM. Kirk will lie in state at St. Kenneth Church, 14951 N. Haggerty, Plymouth, on Monday at 11:30 AM until the celebration of the Funeral Liturgy at Noon.
Interment with Military Honors will follow on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
Kirk's absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his love, laughter, and legacy will forever be carried in our hearts.
