Kathleen Hart Norman was born on March 4, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan.
To those who knew and loved her, she was Kathy, Dear, Mom, Grandma, and Aunt Kathy — names that reflected the many cherished roles she held throughout her life.

Kathy was known for her warmth, humor, and her fierce love for family and friends. She had an infectious laugh and a gift for making others feel valued and seen. Whether it was a conversation over tea, a shared joke, or a quiet moment of understanding, Kathy made genuine connections that lasted a lifetime.

In her younger years, Kathy found joy in simple pleasures — playing golf, savoring a great cup of tea, sharing laughter with her daughter, and enjoying a good movie. As the years went on, those joys grew richer. Morning chats with her sister became a treasured ritual, dinners out with her husband brought comfort and companionship, and weekends spent at her daughter's home filled her heart.

Above all, Kathy's greatest joy was her grandson, Wesley. She loved every moment with him — from holding him as a baby, to their lively Sunday games of board games and Go Fish. Their bond was a source of endless pride and happiness.

Kathy was deeply loved by her husband of 45 years, her daughter and son-in-law, her beloved grandson, her sister, extended family, and lifelong friends. Her love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Her memory will forever be a light to those she loved.

Visitation will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, 48375 on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 10:00 am until the Memorial Service begins at 12:00 pm.
