Karl E. Pepera, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on June 28, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, Karl lived a life defined by his unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and genuine passion for connecting with others. A proud Italian, he embraced his heritage through his love of family, food, hospitality, and lively conversation. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. His charismatic personality, infectious sense of humor, and ability to light up any room earned him the reputation of being the life of the party.

Karl's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. Alongside his former wife, Kunnika, he attended Rhema Bible College, where he deepened his knowledge of Scripture. In 1983, Karl became a teacher at Rhema, faithfully sharing God's Word and encouraging others in their walk with Christ. He later faithfully attended Brightmoor Christian Church in Novi, Michigan, where he continued to grow in his relationship with Christ and his commitment to sharing the Gospel. He believed deeply in the power of faith to transform lives. His family remembers him as someone whose steadfast witness led his brother, mother, and father to Christianity—an accomplishment that brought him profound joy and remained one of his greatest blessings. His devotion to God and to his parents was evident throughout his life.

A true health enthusiast, Karl embraced a holistic lifestyle long before it became commonplace. He was passionate about natural remedies, healthy living, and encouraging others to care for both their bodies and spirits. He loved running and believed in staying active, always striving to live life with energy and purpose.

Karl was an entrepreneur whose strong work ethic led him to own several businesses throughout his career. He was the owner of Professional Services HVAC in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ti Amos Italian Restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He took great pride in serving his customers and building successful businesses through dedication and perseverance.

He had many interests and talents that reflected his curiosity and creativity. Karl loved building and repairing cars and was happiest with a project in the garage. A gifted handyman, he could fix almost anything. He was also an excellent cook and enthusiastic foodie who especially enjoyed Asian and Italian cuisine and delighted in preparing meals for family and friends. He had a lifelong love of martial arts, especially Karate, and greatly admired Bruce Lee, whose discipline, determination, and philosophy inspired him. He enjoyed lively conversations about politics and football and was always ready to share a laugh or tell one of his many jokes.

Above all else, Karl cherished his family. His children will forever treasure one of his sweetest traditions—his affectionate "noseys," the gentle nose kisses that became his signature expression of love. Those simple moments will remain lasting reminders of his warmth, tenderness, and playful spirit.

Karl is survived by his beloved daughter, Christina Pepera Ho; his son, Noah Pepera; and his cherished grandchildren, Hieu Ho, Hien Ho, Kai Ho, Noah Pepera, Isaiah Pepera, Jeremiah Pepera, and Asia Pepera. He is also survived by his former wife, Kunnika Pepera; his brothers, Fred (Toni) Pepera and Gerald (Cathy) Pepera; his nephew, Pepsi; and many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Karl was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Edward Pepera and Costanza "Connie" Pepera.

Karl will be remembered as a faithful Christian, loving son, and compassionate man whose greatest joy was serving God and caring for the people around him. His legacy lives on through the faith he shared, the lives he touched, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave so freely.

Those who knew Karl will always remember his cheerful farewell: "Arrivederci!"—"Until we meet again." It was more than a goodbye; it was an expression of his faith and hope that one day, through Christ, we will be reunited.

Though he will be deeply missed, Karl's family finds comfort in God's promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and rejoices in the hope of seeing him again.
