Karen Louise Danielson, Died April 25, 2013CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI -Karen Louise Danielson, 70, of Clinton Twp,, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at St John Macomb Hospital.
Born in Detroit on February 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Lily DanielsonShe graduated from Eastern University with a degree in elementary education. She taught elementary and middle school classes in the Center Line School District. She went on to get her Masters Degree in elementary counseling and library science. Karen organized and ran parenting classes, was active in the teacher's union and served as president of the CLEA.Karen loved animals, especially her two Dalmatians, Fancy and Pokey. She was an avid traveller and loved her Elderhostel trips. She spent summers at her cottage in Cedar, MISurviving Karen are her cousin Carol (Milt) Bowes; godchildren, Kristen (Sean) Rivard, Andrea (Curt) Chowanic, Justin Rivard; and many other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 1 p.m.. at Oakmont Senior Living, 36725 Utica Rd., Clinton Township. A burial will take place at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetary, Detroit.
