Judith (Hay) Middleton Kroon passed away on Sept. 4th. Judy was the beloved daughter of Doris (Hay) Wiegand and her stepfather, Ralph Wiegand. She was a retired registered nurse who had worked at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for many years. She was a student at Our Lady of Mercy High School, Detroit, Class of 1962 and a member of MENSA. Judy was born in Ann Arbor to Robert (deceased 1972) and Doris Hay on Feb. 14th, 1944, Valentine's Day. She is survived by her brothers—Dr. Michael Hay of Florida, David Hay (Anna) of Northville, and John Gregory (Lisa) of Colorado; and also by her sister, Susan Conboy (Jim) of Cheboygan. "Aunt Judy" was loved by nine nieces and nephews. Judy cherished her friends, was a devoted animal advocate, an "extra" in a number of movies, and she enjoyed vacationing every summer at her cottage in the U.P. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
