John R. Kirwan Age 89

Beloved husband of Helen (Collins) for 54 years.
Dear father of Mary Helyn (Ryan) O'Hara, Kathleen (Brett) McMillen and Colleen (Michael) Brady.
Proud Papa of Johnny, Colleen, Kate, Patrick and Declan.
Brother of Joseph (Mary Ellen) and the late Jean (Frank) Pinkelman.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Special family of Velora Smith, Sythena Saunders and Shelley Johnson.

John was a graduate of the University of Detroit High School and University of Detroit Law School. He is a member of the U of D College Hall of Fame and the Past President of the Alumni Association. John was also active in the Irish Lawyers Association, a Past Grand Knight of the George F. Monaghan Knights of Columbus, and a member of the AOH Walsh Division. John Kirwan enjoyed coaching basketball and baseball in the CYO league. John served as a Judge in the Wayne County Circuit Court for 32 years. He served our country in WWII as a member of the US Navy.

Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi Tuesday 2-9pm. Monaghan K of C Rosary Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
In state at Our Lady of Victory Church 133 Orchard Northville Wednesday 10:00 am until the funeral Liturgy at 10:30am. Interment with military honors will be at Rural Hill Cemetery Northville
