Josephine A. Nazaroff, passed on Friday, December 27, 2019 in West Bloomfield at the age of 85.
Loving mother of Diana, Norman J. (Deanna) and Karl Nazaroff. Proud grandmother of Norman A. (Jillian), Justin (Carrie), and Kyle Nazaroff. Predeceased by her loving parents, Herbert and Anne Sartor, and her dear younger sisters Eunice Sartor and Sandra (Tom) Smith. Survived by her brother Duane (Carol) Sartor and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joanne was an avid gardener, and devoted much of her spare time tending to her flower gardens. She was a lifetime member of the National Chrysanthemum Society, earning numerous awards and trophies exhibiting her flowers locally, nationally and internationally in Canada and Britian. She was a member of the Greater Detroit Chrysanthemum Society where she was the publisher of their monthly newsletter "The Mummer" for a number of years and earned the right to judge for competitions. She judged internationally in Canada and Britian, and also travelled to Japan one year for the international show. While Chrysanthemums were her favorite, she cultivated all types of flowers and was quite proud of her Magnolia tree which she raised from a stick.
Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800 on Friday, January 3, 2019 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a scripture service at 7:00 PM. Instate Saturday, January 4, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi from 10:30 AM until time of funeral liturgy 11:00 AM.
