Moreau, Joseph Reginald "Bud" Age 89. September 7, 2022. Beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" of 67 years. Loving father of Tom (Patti) Moreau, Bob (Colleen) Moreau, Joanne (Steve) Sylvester, Mary Beth (Dwayne) Trivax, Joe (Angela) Moreau and Jim (Dar) Moreau. Proud grandfather of Kristie (Jay) Updyke, Jenna (Brandon) Bishop, Joe Moreau, Mary Moreau, Katie (Brad) Schneider, Michael (Lauren) Sylvester, Brandon (Alaina) Trivax, Nicole (Ben) Shaham, Ana (Matt) Trivax-McClure, Sophia Moreau, Emily (Nick) Larson, Olivia Moreau and Jimmy Moreau. Great-grandfather of Seaira Updyke, Jayce Updyke, Madelyn Bishop, Jack Schneider, Millie Schneider, Fitz Sylvester, Oliver Trivax, Liam Trivax, Norah Shaham, Sally Shaham, Sonny Shaham, Duke Larson, Tatum Larson and the late Mackenzie Bishop. Dear brother of the late Marie Beamish, William Moreau and Joan Erickson. Brother-in-law of Ed Erickson, Robert (Kay) Barnes and the late Fr. Joseph Barnes CSB., and Mary Ann (Ronald) Williams. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bud was born June 9, 1933 in Melbourne, Quebec, Canada to the late Pierre & Marguerite Moreau and at the age of nine moved to Michigan. Bud attended St. Mary's High School, was class President all 4 years. He played basketball, football and baseball there. After high school he attended the University of Detroit on a baseball scholarship. He even tried out for the Detroit Red Wings but was drafted into the United States Army where he served 2 years during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed coaching little league football and basketball, winning at Euchre, and his love of golf was known by all. He volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Priscilla's in Livonia. Mr. Moreau was an elevator mechanic for over 40 years. He was a devout Catholic and carried his rosary every day. Most of all, Bud loved spending time with family and friends. He was always there to lend a hand, give his love and share his laughter, and what a contagious laugh it was. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St Vincent de Paul Society

Visitation Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 10 am until time of mass at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church 24505 Meadowbrook Rd. Novi, MI 48375. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI.
