In Loving Memory of Joseph Thomas McWilliams
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph McWilliams, who departed this life on August 15th, 2025 at the age of 72. Born in Highland Park, Joseph was a cherished soul whose presence brought light, laughter, and love to all who knew him. His life was a testament to resilience, generosity, and quiet strength.
Joseph was known for his sharp wit, frequent laughter, Detroit sports fandom, and an unwavering love for his family. Joseph loved to travel anywhere warm and spent countless hours at his favorite places, Higgins Lake, MI and Anna Maria Island, FL. He touched countless lives and left behind a legacy of compassion and grace. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in the stories, lessons, and love Joseph shared so freely.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teri (Sacka), brother Thomas, daughter Danielle (Justin) Weinger, sons Mathew (Chelsey) and Evan (Megan), and grandchildren Lyla, Lily, Lexi, and Joseph, who will carry forward his memory with love and pride.

Memorial gathering of friends and family will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800 on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a service beginning at 7:00 PM.
