In Loving Memory of Joseph E. Baysdell

Joseph E. Baysdell, age 40, of Novi, Michigan passed away on September 2, 2023. Joseph is survived by his wife Lauren, daughters Claire and Audrey, and siblings Peter (Josette), Tammy Raya (Michael), and Michael (Genevieve).

Joseph was born to the late Richard and Paula Baysdell and grew up in Brown City. He was a gifted athlete and played numerous sports, including football, basketball, and track and field. During high school, Joseph won the Division 4 State Champion title for the high jump. He went on to study accounting and economics at Alma College, where he played collegiate basketball and graduated cum laude. Upon college graduation, Joseph started his career of internal auditing and earned the Certified Internal Auditor designation.

Joseph enjoyed traveling, trying different foods, watching movies, and staying informed of current events and politics. He was intelligent, charming, easy-going, and had a great sense of humor. Joseph's family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, located at 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 PM.
