John W. "Jack" Dempster Age 91

Beloved husband of the late Barbara for 53 years.
Dear father of John Martin.
Brother of Thomas (Renee) and Bruce (Eunice).
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jack grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan. After serving in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, Jack used the GI Bill to get a B.A in Education from Illinois State Normal College. He spent the majority of his career at Redford Union High School teaching Music, Social Studies, and History. It was at Redford Union that he met his wife, Barbara. They led a full life together with their son, Marty. He died, exactly as he wished, peacefully in his sleep in the Rose Court Rehabilitation Center at Fox Run.
Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi Friday 2-8pm. Funeral service Saturday at the funeral home at 11:00am.
The interment at Michigan Memorial Park will be private.
