Dedicated husband of Ilene for 56 years.
Loving father of Ilene (Paul) Merrihew, Darlene, John, Michael, Sharon (Paul) Saarinen and Carol (Jerry) Salloum.
Terrific  papa of Sierra Resovsky and Alana Saarinen.
Brother of the late Marge Monik.
Wonderful  uncle of many nieces and nephews.
John was the owner of Sabol Sheet Metal for thirty years. He loved traveling and spending time with his family. He was a Veteran of the Korean War.
Visitation at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi (248) 348-1800,  Wednesday 2-9pm with prayers at 8:30pm.
In state at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 23815 Power Rd. Farmington,  Thursday, 9:30am until time of funeral liturgy at 10am.
Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
