John J. (Johnny O.) Olszewski
Loving Husband of Elinor (nee Cottrell). Dear Father of Son, J. Tom (Linda), Daughters, Mary K (Bill), Jean Marie (Larry), Patricia Ann (Michael). Treasured Grandfather of eight grandchildren and Great Grandfather of six. John went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2013. John began his career in Detroit with the Internal Revenue Service as an Internal Revenue Agent. He served as Special Agent, Assistant Chief, and Chief of Intelligence in the Detroit district. After his service in Detroit, John became Regional Commissioner, Chicago, IL and lastly served as the National Director of IRS, Criminal Investigations, IRS, Washington, DC. John was National Director of the Intelligence Division of the Internal Revenue Service until his retirement in 1975. Upon retirement, John furthered his career as President of Federal Compliance Consultants, Inc. As President of his firm, FCC, Inc, John and his associates worked with national law firms involving white collar crime and tax matters. During his career he also served as a tax advisor to the Philippine government and developed a criminal tax fraud program for the country. He served his country in the Army as Sergeant during World War II and was Honorably Discharged. John was a graduate of the University of Detroit, holding Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Jurisprudence (Law) degrees. He was a member of the Michigan Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. As a devout Roman Catholic his faith guided him throughout his life. Visitation to be held at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 Ten Mile Road, Novi, MI 48374.
