John Thomas Moore, age 86, died on January 31, 2023.

John was born June 17, 1936, in Coleraine, Ireland. In 1958, he married Georgina (Ena) Veronica Ferns and became a devoted husband and father. John and Ena immigrated to the United States through Canada in 1962. In Michigan, they raised their family in Livonia and later moved to Brighton.

John was beloved father of Brendan (Emily), Kevin, Anne Marie (Thomas) and the late Stephen, and the late Paul, also father-in-law of Lesley and Dawn. Loving grandfather of Kelly, Sean, Heather, Matthew, Jessica, John Paul, Liam, Nichole and Derrin. Adoring great-grandfather of TJ, Robert, Jr., Leeanne and Liam, and the late Melanie. John is also survived by his brother Brendan Moore along with many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews who reside in Ireland and Scotland.

John was an honest, funny, loving and thoughtful man who loved spending time with his family and friends. One of John's favorite things to do was spend time in Florida with his wife, Ena, during the Michigan winter season. John was a soccer fanatic who played and coached for most of his life. John also had a love-hate relationship with golf that he shared with his sons and grandsons. John spent nearly 37 years working for Ford Motor Company at the Livonia Transmission Plant in industrial repair. Most of all, John enjoyed laughing and sharing his funny stories with his grandchildren. He will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life on Monday February 6, 2023, at O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home. There will be visitation from 11am-1pm. Along with a Memorial Service and Prayers beginning at 1pm.
