John P. Argenta, age 77, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Sunday May 27, 2018. He was born on August 4, 1940 in Detroit Michigan to John and Amalia (Marchesotti) Argenta. John attended Detroit Catholic Central High School and went on to graduate with a degree in architecture from the University of Detroit. He spent his 45 year career at CDPA working to design countless architectural landmarks throughout the state of Michigan. John had a passion for music, art, history and the city of Detroit. John is survived by his family, longtime companion Maryanne Zavagnin, son John (Cheryl) Argenta, daughter Christine (Peter) McGuire, brothers Louis (Ginger) Argenta and Robert (Susan) Argenta, Christine (Tom) Umstead, Keirnan (Miriam) Zavagnin and his grandchildren who he adored, Molly, Emma, Josephine and Luke. John was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary Anne Argenta. The Funeral will be held on Thursday May 31 at 10:00a at Our Lady of Victory in Northville. A visitation will be held at O'Brien Sullivan funeral home 41555 Grand River Novi , on Wednesday May 30 from 2p – 7p, rosary at 7p.
