Obituary

Joan P. Lademan, age 71, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. She was born on March 21, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, and lived a life defined by resilience, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.

Joan found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved traveling and especially cherished the time she spent wintering in Florida. She was known for her enthusiasm for karaoke singing, her devotion to her beloved dogs, and her ability to find reasons to smile even during life's most difficult moments.

Throughout her life, Joan faced many trials and challenges, yet she remained determined to enjoy each day to the fullest. Her family often marveled at her strength and perseverance. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need whenever it was within her power to do so. Her kind and generous spirit touched the lives of many.

Among her earliest accomplishments was receiving the Miss Congeniality award during her school years, a reflection of the warmth, friendliness, and kindness that would remain hallmarks of her character throughout her life. Joan attended both college and trade school and enjoyed a successful career as a dental office manager for over twenty years, where her supportive nature and dedication earned the respect of coworkers and patients alike.

Of all her accomplishments, Joan was most proud of her family. She took great pride in seeing her daughter, Tammi, graduate from high school and always wanted nothing but the very best for those she loved. Her family was the center of her world, and her greatest happiness came from watching them grow and succeed.

Joan was known for often saying, “Every day is a blessing, despite all the challenges.” These words reflected the way she approached life—with gratitude, courage, and hope. In her later years, health struggles significantly limited her quality of life, and she endured immeasurable pain. Yet her love for her family kept her going, and she continued to face each day with remarkable strength and determination.

Joan is survived by her devoted husband, Tom; her beloved daughter, Tamara (Randy); and her cherished grandchildren, Kassidi (Dan), Laney, Thomas and great-grandchild Edward. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lois; her brothers, Jody and Jimmy; and her sisters, Jane, June, and Jeanette.

Joan's kindness, supportive nature, and enduring love for her family will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
