Jerry Salas, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, in Northville, Michigan. He was born to George and Myra (Berardinelli) Salas on March 23, 1939, in Cokeburg, Pennsylvania, and went on to live a life defined by dedication, service, and a deep love for his family. Jerry proudly served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division, an experience that forged his strength, discipline, and unwavering sense of duty. Following his military service, he built a long and successful career as a stationary engineer with Parke-Davis/Pfizer, where he was respected for his reliability and commitment to his work. Beyond his profession, Jerry found great joy in history, foreign language, and the arts. He was an actor who appeared on both film and in local community theater, enthusiastically applying his craft, bringing stories to life, and forming lasting friendships along the way.
Jerry was the beloved husband of Lucia for 58 years and the devoted father of Jerald Salas, Steven (Carola) Salas, Nicholas (Elif) Salas, and Stacie Labrune. He was a proud and cherished grandfather of six. He is also survived by his brother, Edward Salas, and was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Salas. Jerry's legacy lives on in the love of his family, the memories he created, and the many people whose lives he touched.
His family laid Jerry to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan following a private service.
