Jeffrey Harold Brunsch, 76, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025.
Born on May 18, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, Jeff was the beloved son of the late Virginia R. (Loewe) and Harold W. Brunsch, and was also predeceased by his stepfather, Ed.
Jeff is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Smith, and his cherished sons, Josh (Heather) Chesnut and Bradley Smith. He was a proud grandfather to Colin and Dylan, and a loving brother to Doug (Michelle) Brunsch, Janet (Howard) Donnelly, Doug (Phyllis) Gerdes and the late Tom Brunsch. Jeff also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will deeply miss his kindness and humor.
Jeff earned his bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University, where he was an active and proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity, eventually serving as its secretary — a role he truly enjoyed. He went on to work for Central Transport, where he was responsible for managing freight logistics, a job he approached with dedication and professionalism.
A man of many passions, Jeff found great joy in sailing and spending time with his family. He was also an avid football fan, never missing a chance to cheer on his favorite teams.
Family and friends are invited to honor Jeff's memory during a memorial visitation on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave., Novi, MI 48375.
Jeff's legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
