Jeanette Catherine Serowiecki passed away October 9th 2025 at the age of 88. She was a resident of Northville, Mi.
Jeanette was born September 13th, 1937 to Nicholas Sikora and Louise (Kubicz) Sikora in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. She attended Wells High School where her love of journalism grew and she became the editor of the school newspaper "Wells World". At the age of 16, She went to college at the University of Illinois at Navy Pier for 2 years, and then continued on with her education at University of Illinois Pharmacy School, where she was the only woman on the debate team. Here she met her husband Daniel in physics class, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1959. Jeanette worked as the pharmacy manager at the Stanford Fort Hopkins hotel in Chicago for several years. Later Jeanette and Daniel moved to Addison, IL where she worked as a pharmacist for Osco Drugs, and here they lived happily for 48 years. She united in marriage to the late Daniel Serowiecki August 22nd, 1959 and they were devoted to each other for over 60 years.
She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Paul) Pebbles; granddaughters Sophie Pebbles, Sarah Pebbles and Rose Pebbles; her sister-in-law Barbara Serowiecki, brother-in-law Melvin (Loraine) Serowiecki and nieces Susan Serowiecki, Denise (Eric) Serowiecki-Krush, Jessica (Ben) Serowiecki-Enerson, Jennifer (Bryan) Aitkens and Blair Wittig. She is preceded in death by her parents Louise and Nicolas Sikora, her husband Daniel Serowiecki, brother William Sikora, sisters Amelia Sikora and Miranda Wittig and beloved brother-in-law Gilbert Serowiecki.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, 48375 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Sharing of Memories will begin at 7:00 pm during visitation. Visitation will continue at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi, 48374 on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10:00 am, and will continue until the Funeral Mass begins at 10:30 am.
