James Thomas Molloy passed away on September 14th, 2020 at the age of 78. He was born on the 26th of May in 1942, to his parents James and Greta Molloy. Jim grew up in Detroit, attending Epiphany Catholic Grade School and graduating from Visitation High School in 1960. He would go on to attend the University of Detroit to study business.
Jim began his career in the automotive industry, eventually settling into a career at Comerica Bank. Jim was a member of the United States Armed Services. He served in the Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1971. He proudly served on the Board of Directors at the Michigan Columbus Federal Credit Union in Livonia. Jim cherished his time and fellowship serving the Knights of Columbus. His involvement with the Monaghan
Council of the Knights of Columbus was a big part of who he was. Whether it was marching proudly in the St. Patrick's Day parade, or sipping a Manhattan on a Friday night with Tish at the bar, or participating in charitable work with his brother Knights. Many of his lifelong friendships were formed here.
Above all, he loved his family. Jim married the love of his life Tish Brady on August 13, 1966. They shared thirty six blessed years until her passing in 2002. He cherished his six grandchildren; Brennan, Gabriela, Matthew, Joseph, Olivia, and Michael Dante as well as his children Mike(Rosita) and Molly(Matt).He is survived by his sister Maureen, brothers, Terence (Pam), Robert ( the late Jennifer), Brian and brother-in-law Kurt. Jim is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
He was predeceased by brothers Daniel and Douglas.
