Copley, James C. Jr."Jim" September 25, 2015, age 84 of Port St. Lucie, Florida. James was born November 19, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to James C. Sr and Ellen Copley.
He was the loving father of Deborah(Lou) Gorenc, Casey(Linda) Copley and Deanna(Doug Zubke) Henderson. Soul mate of Sarah (McCutcheon) Copley. Grandfather of Jonathon Scott Radke, Megan Brienna Nairne, Laura Bethany Nairne, Melissa Lynn(Tim) Bugai, Erin Kelly(Rob) Coppersmith, Justin Jay(Tiffany) Henderson and Sarah Eileen (Sam) Stroud.
Great-Grandfather of Bri, Victoria, Veronica, CJ, Anthony, Conrad, Tyler, Delaney and Harper.
Brother of Harry Copley, William (Ellie) Copley, Dick (Lois) Copley and the late Thomas Copley and Marion Dunn.
Also survived by his K9 companion, Toni.
Jim retired as the District Manager and Supervisor from the Detroit Free Press after many years. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines serving during the Korean Conflict. He also was a small business owner where he was known as the "milkman". Jim was an avid fisherman and reader, Tigers critic and sports fan.
Funeral Services Thursday 11 am from the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave., Novi 248 348-1800. In-state Wednesday from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
Interment of cremains will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
