Grandfather of Katy, Max, Elissa, Sarah Emily, Allison, Jimmy, Maureen, Elizabeth, Christine and Patrick. Great-Grandfather of Henry, Charlotte and Lucy. Preceded in death by grandsons, Jeffrey and Matthew. Memorial visitation 1-8 pm Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River, Novi (248-348-1800.) Scripture service Sunday 7PM. Memorial Mass 10:30 am Monday, January 18, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church(711 Rickett Rd. Brighton, 48116) with visitation Monday 9:30am until time of service at church. Mr. Bretz started and built three successful businesses, the Kedsell Company, Libralter Plastics and Tribar Manufacturing. He was All-City and All-Catholic at St Anthony's in Detroit. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII. He loved to travel and golf and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
