James Edward Boudreau
10/05/1938 -12/09/2017
Loving husband of Dyan Kay for 28 years, caring father of 6 children (Nancy, James, Robert, Louis (Kathleen), Angel and Brandon (Monica). Grandfather to 31 (including 13 great-grandchildren). Uncle to 100's of nieces and nephews. Jim was the 7th of 12 siblings whom he loved dearly.
Growing up in Detroit, Jim attended the Precious Blood Parish where his commitment to the Catholic faith took root. A proud graduate of Detroit Catholic Central, Jim went on to serve (1956-1962) in the US Army, driving a tank. After his service, Jim attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn and began work at Ford Motor Company as an engineer. His entrepreneurial spirit took over and it lead to many successful endeavors in the mortgage, title, appraisal industries and most notably a long career as a real estate broker. Jim recently focused his skills as a builder. He was a responsible and hard-working provider who always created his own way.
A sports enthusiast, he was very competitive, an excellent coach and avid golfer.
Jim loved people and making them laugh. He was passionately devoted to his friends and family, fiercely protective of them at all times and always holding court wherever he went. He was best known as the life of the party. He was the rock of his family.
Jim went to the Lord peacefully at home after a wonderful night with his children and grandchildren, Santa cap still on his head.
