In Loving Memory of a Legend James "Jim" A. Freers
James "Jim" A. Freers, born on January 15, 1952, in Highland Park, MI, passed away on December 5, 2023. He was the cherished son of Howard and Eleanor (Reeder) Freers.
Jim was a devoted husband to Virginia "Gin" for an incredible 47 years, a loving father to James Howard (Melissa) Freers and Jeffrey Benoist (Olivia) Freers, and a proud grandpa, affectionately known as "Baba," to Eleanor and Benjamin. He was also a dear brother to Steven (Christine) Freers and David (Marina) Freers.
Jim, who also answered to the nicknames Jim, Jimmy, Freers, or Baba, earned his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana State University. He spent many years working as a Sales Engineer in the automotive industry and really valued all of the friendships he made along the way. His love for life was evident in the joy he found in activities such as golfing, fishing, and leisurely walks with his beloved wife "Gin." Most importantly, his greatest happiness was found in the company of his family. Jim cherished his time in Fish Creek, WI with his in-laws, nieces, nephews and locals. He especially enjoyed having a beer and a BLT at the Bayside.
A dedicated Green Bay Packers fan, Jim's passion for his team was unwavering, and he shared countless memorable moments watching and cheering for them with his loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to join the Freers family in remembering and celebrating Jim's life at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI, Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be 11 am, Friday, December 15, 2023, at the funeral home.

, reflecting Jim's spirit of generosity and compassion towards others.
Jim's warm smile, kind heart, and love for life will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
