Age 78. April 18, 1930—November 11, 2008. Beloved husband of Maxine (Hager) Townsend. Loving father of four daughters: Tami (Ken) Chaushoff, Tawnya (Tom) Bender, Teri Hollister, and Courtney (Jon) Hewett. Dear grandfather of Charlie, Morgan, Mackenzi, Nathan, Emily, Jackson, Jaymes, and great-grandson Lukas. Cherished brother of Della (Ed) Helton and Melvin (Virginia) Townsend. Ike was employed at McDonald Dairy in Flint for 15 years and retired from Ford Motor Company in 1999. Veteran of Korean War serving in U.S. Air Force.
