In Loving Memory of Irene Mary Miazga
Irene Mary Miazga, aged 92, peacefully departed this world on March 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born in Munising, Michigan on March 25, 1931, to the late Casmere and Mary (Broda) Rzanca, Irene's journey was marked by resilience, warmth, and a deep commitment to family.
Irene was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Miazga, who preceded her in death in 2003. Together, they built a life grounded in love and shared experiences. Irene was a devoted mother to Richard, Michael (and the late Carol), Steven (and the late Janet), and Ted (Sharon) Miazga. Her nurturing spirit extended to her role as a doting grandmother to J.R., Edward, Brian, Laura, Connie, Tisa, Arlene, and Mike Jr. She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, and her love resonated through the generations, touching the hearts of nieces and nephews scattered near and far.
Irene's life was a rich tapestry woven with threads of joy and passion. She found solace and fulfillment in the art of sewing and quilting, skillfully crafting pieces that reflected her creativity and love. A woman of varied interests, Irene enjoyed the excitement of casino trips, the thrill of scratch-off tickets, and the camaraderie of the hunt. Her culinary talents were celebrated by those fortunate enough to taste her delicious creations, a testament to the love she poured into every meal.
During her working years, Irene displayed her industrious spirit as a taxidermist and contributed her skills to the Packard assembly line. Her dedication and hard work were evident in every endeavor she undertook.
Irene is survived by her brother Tom Rzanca, the last survivor of their 12 siblings, whose bond endured the passage of time.
A celebration of Irene's life will take place as she is laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Joseph, in Calvary Cemetery in Cheboygan, Michigan. The memories of Irene Mary Miazga will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were privileged to know and love her. May she rest in eternal peace.
