It is with great sadness that we share that Helen (Marie) Pellingra, 85, of Wixom, Michigan entered eternal rest on Monday, March 10, 2025. Helen was born in Roswell, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Reva Davis and Royce Adams. She is predeceased by her sister, Shirley Adams. Marie lived in San Diego, California in her early years and later moved to Connecticut in 1958. She was a resident of CT for 52 years and finally resided in Wixom, MI for 15 years.

Our mother (grandmother) was an exemplarity mother figure with great kindness and compassion. She embodied and taught us the best qualities of unconditional love, strength, an unending generosity and a spirit that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. She always challenged herself to learn whatever was of interest to her. Whatever endeavors she took on, they were done in love and professionalism. Our Mom enjoyed and taught us many hobbies and passions in her life such as art, cooking, baking, sculpturing, sewing, gardening, reading (she loved history), traveling, decorating along with designing her homes like an interior designer would. She had the gift of 'creating' and turning whatever she touched into gold. Many of the family members were excited to receive the abundance of her creative endeavors. Among her many loves was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her four daughters, Deborah Pellingra- Parker of Manchester, Ct, Denise Murphy and her husband, Gerald Murphy of Brighton, MI, Lisa Gauruder and her husband, John Gauruder of Novi, MI, Laura Marsh and her husband Greg Marsh of Ocean Isle, N.C. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Reola, Amber Bergmann, John Gauruder 111, Brian Murphy, Christopher Pellingra, Lisa Anne Murphy, Sarah and Melissa Bergmann, Jason Gauruder and Jake Gauruder and her 11 great grandchildren, Cristabella, Madison, Ryan, Andrew, Alex, Lukas, Tyler, Emily, CJ, Skylar and Jaylynn, as well as 1 niece and 2 nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at Oak Pointe Church, located at 50200 W. 10 Ten Mile Rd, Novi, Michigan 48374 on June 20th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. and a private lunch for family in her honor and also a private interment.
