Harold "Cookie" Cook's Obituary

Harold "Cookie" Cook
Of Novi, Michigan, formerly of Wareham, Massachusetts
Harold ("Cookie") Cook passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 83 at Henry Ford Hospital in Rochester, Michigan.
Born on November 4, 1941, in Franklin, Massachusetts, Cookie lived a full and joyful life filled with family, laughter, and friendly competition. He loved cribbage, cards of any kind, and time spent with loved ones at family gatherings, especially during the holidays.
Over the years, Cookie called both Massachusetts and Michigan home. Wherever he lived, he built lasting connections through his kindness, humor, and generosity. He was active in the Elks and Masons when able and enjoyed traveling to cribbage tournaments across the country. A devoted Patriots fan, he never missed a game and always found joy in cheering them on.
Cookie was known for his positive outlook, gentle nature, and the ability to make anyone feel at ease. Even in the face of challenges, he carried himself with quiet strength and positivity — never with a bad word to say.
He is survived by his four children — David (Sandy), Ray, Lucy, and Sarah — as well as four granddogs and eight grandfish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Myrtle Cook.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services. His family will honor his life in their own ways and in their own time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cookie's memory to the MSPCA or the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree in his honor.
His family takes comfort in knowing that his warmth, humor, and kindness live on in every story shared about him.
