Our loving brother, Gregory Charles Orr, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. Greg was the first-born son of Charles V. and Amelia S. (Dzialowski) Orr, born May 9, 1955. He is survived by his siblings; Stevan J. Orr (Theresa), Stasia A. Revere (Paul), Daniel V. Orr (Lydia). He was the adored and loving Uncle of Kira, Thomas, Anthony, Paul, Joseph and Nicholas. Gregory was an academic scholar; graduating second in his class from North Farmington High School class of 1973. He also was an athlete participating in basketball and cross country. Greg was a graduate of The University of Michigan, Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture. Gregory loved the outdoors; in his youth he was an avid skier and competitive sailor. He was made a Life Long Member of the Visions Clubhouse using performance art to promote understanding of mental illness.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Regis Catholic Church, 3695 Lincoln Road, Bloomfield Hills on Saturday, March 9th at 12:30pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Association of Mental Health in Michigan. NAMI of Michigan
