Obituary

Gregory Raymond Loiselle, of Northville, MI, passed away Saturday March 30th 2013.
Gregory was born in Detroit MI, May 3rd 1948. Gregory graduated from St.. Gregory's High School in 1967, He was married to Martha (Rizzo) Loiselle on August 8th 1980.
Gregory was an gifted, accomplished mechanic and a successful, compassionate business man. From a young age Greg worked on cars and was interested in mechanical pursuits.. In his lifetime Greg owned and operated first gas stations and automobile repair shops and then moved on to bicycle shops as well. He owned and operated G & R Bike Shop and the Bike and Tour Shop. One of Greg's biggest accomplishments was his work in partnership with friends Richard Knackel and Paul Duquenel to collaborate and operate 6 Pro Cycle Centers across the Detroit metro area.
Greg was a hardworking and loving sibling, husband, father and grandfather. Greg is survived by his daughters Yvette Loiselle of Whitewater WI, Danielle Loiselle & Amund of Oslo, Norway, Michelle (Rizzo) & Donald Coleman of Livonia, MI and Andrea (Rizzo) Spear of Novi MI. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Kyle and Carlie Coleman, Axle, Adam, and Emma Mowinckel
. Gregory is survived by 7 siblings Armand Loiselle, Joan (Loiselle) Costa, Jim Loiselle, Rodger Loiselle, Paul Loiselle, Rene Loiselle, and Mary (Loiselle) Neumann.
Greg was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on March 8th 2013 and passed away on March 30th 2013. Greg was a proud man who fought this cancer with dignity and bravery. At no time did Greg give up; he remained hopeful and cheery throughout the experience. We stand in awe of our father's courage and personal fortitude in the face of immeasurable pain and overwhelming odds. We lost our dad too early.
Greg was about to retire with his lovely and beloved wife Martha. Those plans were devestated by this terrible cancer. Please join us and donate now in memory of our father, Gregory Loiselle. There's a place at the funeral home for food to share as well. We look forward to spending time with family and friends and have been thankful for all of the loving support.
Visitation at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi (248) 348-1800, Wednesday 2-9 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM.
In state Thursday at Church of the Transfiguration, 25225 Code Rd. Southfield, 9:30 AM until funeral liturgy at 10 AM.
