Godfrey Lawrence Zarb

May 10, 1925 – December 31, 2022

Beloved husband of Geraldine for 71 years.

Loving father of Thomas (Meg), Carol (John), Valerie (Dan), Sharon (Tom), Linda (Mike) and the late Debbie.

Dear grandfather of Matt (Laura), Sara (Kevin), Molly (Brett), Rob (Holly), Deana (Mike), Justin, Jesse, Sea, Chris (Rachel), Andrea, Michelle (Billy), Curt (Asia), Jenny (George) and Eric.

Cherished great grandfather of 19.

Godfrey is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Josephine also his siblings, Emily, Mary and Ernie.

Godfrey was a simple man who loved his family above all else. He did enjoy sports, the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Lions being his favorite, he held season tickets for the Lions. He would also play golf. Godfrey served in WWII on a mine sweeper, which was actually a wooden boat. He would often tell stories of this and say the boat had it been hit would have been all splinters. He will be missed by all who knew him.

An instate period for Godfrey will take place at Church of the Holy Family, 24505 Meadowbrook Rd, Novi, MI 48375, beginning at 10am on Monday January 9, 2023 with the liturgy beginning at 11am.

He will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens.



Godfrey's family asks that you make memorial donations to the Michigan Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
