Gerald Thomas Kundrick, 92, passed away Aug. 3, 2024.

He was born on January 15, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Kundrick and Stella (Lukryo) Kundrick. He served during the Korean War where his amazing culinary talent was utilized as an Army Cook. Cooking was one of his creative gifts, along with painting, gardening, and skilled craftsmanship. Jerry had profound appreciation of the arts and loved visiting museums and notable works of architecture. Music, usually classical, was a constant throughout the day whether relaxing with a cold beverage, working on a project, or driving around in his Town & Country minivan. He enjoyed spending time in northern Michigan and Florida with his children and grandchildren and earned a reputation as a great neighbor wherever he lived. He had a deep affection for animals, especially dogs (they also benefitted from his culinary talent). Jerry will be most remembered for his generosity of kindness, gentle demeanor, and keen wit.

Gerald is survived by his wife Jacqueline (Der Mikaelian) of 68 years; his children Leonard Kundrick, Denise (Ross) Maunders, Ken (Babette) Kundrick, Michelle (Peter) Curcione; his grandchildren Cameron, Evan, Dante, Olivia and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Stella Kundrick; brothers, Joseph Kundrick, Albert Kundrick, Bernard Kundrick, Robert Kundrick, Alfie Kundrick; sisters, Joanna Hamilton, Shirley Holzimmer and Theresa Kundrick.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff of Wellbridge in Novi and St. Croix Hospice.
